Apple iPhone Repairs in Melbourne CBD
1. Apple Screen/LCD Replacement
Screen replacements and LCD replacements are the most common repairs we face. Customers often get confused between screen replacement and LCD replacement.
LCD replacement vs screen replacement
iPhone screen replacement requires your phone’s display to be functional. There should not be any black spots or strange lines on the display and the touch sensitivity is still working.
In the case of black dots or colored lines appearing, the only solution is to opt for LCD replacement.
When we do an LCD replacement, we essentially replaced both the LCD display and the screen at the same time. When we do a screen replacement, we basically cut out the outer glass protecting the display and replace that layer of glass ONLY.
2. Apple Battery Replacement
Apple iPhones are known to have a lower battery capacity. While it performs day-to-day tasks with no issues, heavier uses such as gaming will cause battery depletion quickly.
iPhone Battery Replacement
A phone’s battery is constantly deteriorating after each charge. Some simple indications of a bad battery include faster draining, heating up even on idle state, battery bloating, and reduced battery health.
3. Apple Water Damage Repair
iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is the first Water Resistant iPhones Apple introduced with an IP67 rating. Devices with an IP67 rating are able to survive a 30-minute dive at a maximum depth of 1 meter deep.
As of iPhone 11 series, we now have iPhones that are IP68!
According to Gadget Hacks, the IP68 can be divided into three sections:
IP: This stands for “International Protection” but is also known as “Ingress Protection,” the rating system for the dust- and water-resistance of electronic devices.
6: This number signifies the dust protection rating. A rating of “6” indicates complete protection against dust. After testing for eight hours, there was no ingress of dust.
8: This number is the water resistance rating. An “8” means that the iPhone can be fully submerged for one meter or more for up to 30 minutes without causing any water damage to the phone. However, not all “8” ratings are equal. The OEMs can modify both the depth and the duration of the testing as long as the minimum is one meter. In the case of the new iPhones, Apple asked for the testing be done at a depth of four meters for 30 minutes. This is double last year iPhone XS and XS Max.
There is a fine line of difference between Waterproof and Water Resistant. Any product advertised as waterproof implies that it is completely indestructible by water.
However, such is not the case when it comes to smartphones. That’s why Apple, and any smartphone manufacturers, advertise their devices as Water-resistant and not waterproof.
Also do take note that almost none of the smartphone manufacturers provide warranty coverages for devices that are suffering water damage.
4. Apple Charging Port Replacement
Damages on the charging port are fairly common because we use them every day to charge our devices.
Some indications include slower charging, unable to charge even with a working charging cable and charging brick, or you can only charge your device at a certain angle when plugged in.
Depending on phone models, charging port replacements are usually very simple to process.
Repair Buddy Mobile service center across Melbourne can usually replace a new charging port within 45 minutes – 60 minutes, depending on phone models.
5. Apple Back Glass Replacement
Glass-backed smartphones are common these days and the very first iPhones to implement a glass design was Apple way back in 2010 on the iPhone 4.
However, Apple switched back to metal designs for subsequent models. That is until the glass designs made their comeback seven years later in the iPhone 8 series and others started to follow.
Glass-backed devices are more fragile by nature hence leading to an increase in back glass replacement service.
6. Apple Motherboard Repair
iPhone motherboard repair in Melbourne is common and frustrating. The motherboard of your phone is essential and affects your usage.
Most iPhone repair shops in Melbourne do not have the skill to fix the iPhone motherboard. Their iPhone repair cost for motherboard repair is much more expensive as well. Not Repair Buddy Mobile.

Australia's second biggest city, regularly named one of the world's most liveable cities, and the first capital of Australia, features elegant Victorian buildings built during the 1850s Gold Rush and the 1880s boom. Australia's "Sports Capital" is the venue of the Australian Open, the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and the Melbourne Cup, a top equestrian event. Melbourne's cultural energy is apparent everywhere; its visual arts, literary, theatre and, especially, live music scenes are vigorous and popular. The annual Melbourne Festival (in October, one of the best times to visit) features a range of events, and the Writers Festival is a reader's and writer's delight.
The city is influenced by its original settlers from Britain and Ireland, later on Italians and Greeks, and more recently Vietnamese, and is an ethnic mélange of over 140 nations. The people of Melbourne (as it was called in the 1800s) love to converse and live in lively neighborhoods. When traveling through the city, many rely on the trams, part of what gives this city of nearly 4 million its cosmopolitan charm.
The city's architecture is a wild mix of old and new. You can find art pieces throughout the metropolitan area of this original city by the Yarra River. In Melbourne, the visitor will be pleased to find plenty of green parks, waterfront, and space. Its extensive parks are sanctuaries where the city seems a thousand miles away. Absolute cleanliness is apparent; all public areas are kept immaculately pristine. This capital of Victoria is well worth a visit of several days, both for its own numerous attractions, and those in nearby provincial and coastal areas.
Automobile license plates in Victoria carry the identification “Victoria—Garden State.” Melbourne is worthy as the capital of a garden state, with more than one-fourth of its inner-city area consisting of public parks and reserves. These spaces were set aside in the mid-19th century, at a time when many civic leaders in other cities were concerned with commercial development rather than with the quality of life.

6. The community is hugely diverse
Melbourne is a melting pot of communities and is home to many different cultural celebrations. The Antipodes Festival, Melbourne Italian Festa, Chinese New Year, TET Festival, the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Melbourne Queer Film Festival are just some of the options on offer. 7. The trams are a lot of fun
In Melbourne, trams are both a major form of public transport and one of the city’s most famous icons. Melbourne locals tend to express genuine warmth for their tram system. What’s more, Melbourne’s trams can be just as colourful as the city itself: since 2013, the Melbourne International Arts Festival has worked with local artists to decorate trams with unique designs – Art Trams!
8. The airport is super accessible
International students know that having an airport close-by is super handy – especially when it comes to making trips back home, or when family and friends visit. Luckily, Melbourne’s airport is easily accessible and close to the city centre (around 20-35 minutes each way).

Well, it could be you!
10. It’s ‘Australia’s best student city’
Melbourne’s been regularly named Australia’s ‘best student city’ for local and international students – it’s the third-best student city in the world! This means that Melbourne excels in affordability, employer activity, desirability and student view.
So, if you’re curious, adventurous, creative, looking to live and study in a thriving city environment, Melbourne might just be the perfect place to call home.
